Every child is born loved by God and with a natural curiosity and desire to learn about the world.
Our job is to fan that flame!

A child’s early education lays the foundation for all future learning. At Sunbeam, motivated teachers, a focused curriculum, and carefully crafted learning environments are highly tuned to students and how they learn. Our teachers create an environment where children are challenged and engaged, working at the limit of their abilities. We recognize that when children are pushed too hard, they become discouraged and disinterested and that when they are not pushed hard enough, they can get bored and distracted. Setting high but achievable expectations is the goal of the teachers at each level of our program. Seizing this early window in a child’s life when his growing brain is most conducive to learning is the single best opportunity to develop lifelong habits of mind.

Our program is an interactive experience involving teachers, students, and God. We start every day with prayer and devotional time. Then our loving teachers will begin to teach their students how to find answers to their questions. Finally, we reflect on what we have learned – this God-focused reflection time helps students remember what they have learned and reiterates how much they are loved by God! As this process unfolds, children learn to ask better, deeper questions, and to find new, more creative ways to answer them. By incorporating God into the creative activities in the learning process, children better absorb the importance of who they are and how much they are loved, while learning the essential kindergarten readiness skills needed to succeed either in the public or private schools. By combining music, art, movement, science, and storytelling into every lesson, every day, we create a warm and engaging environment that sparks curiosity and discovery.
